When it comes to choosing new tyres for your vehicle, there are three categories that most fall under: budget, mid-range and premium. There are benefits to each, depending on your budget and requirements, and their main differences depend on price, quality and performance.
Budget tyre brands are often the most affordable, so are a great choice if you’re on a budget or don’t use your car as often.
Mid-range tyre brands are higher quality than their budget counterparts and tend to last longer, making them suitable tyres if you drive more regularly.
Premium tyre brands are just that — premium in terms of quality, performance and technology. They undergo significant development and have a much longer lifespan. They’re the best choice if you drive regularly or want tyres that perform to the highest standards. Your vehicle will be fitted with premium tyres from new. These are referred to as original equipment tyre, or OE for short. It’s especially important to fit premium tyres to cars still under manufacturer warranty, as failing to do so could result in your warranty becoming invalid.
